We do not sell your personal data. Ever.

We share data only with the following third-party service providers who are essential to operating Pawsport:

• Supabase — Authentication, database, and file storage
• Vercel — Application hosting and deployment
• Anthropic — AI-powered features (AI Vet Chat, Symptom Checker, Vet Record Import)
• Mapbox — Map display and location-based features

We may also disclose your information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pawsport, our users, or others.

We take your pet's health data seriously. Health records, vet visit logs, medication schedules, vaccination records, and other medical information you store in Pawsport are treated with the highest level of care.

Health data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not share your pet's individual health data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. When you use AI-powered health features, relevant health data is processed by Anthropic solely to generate your response and is not retained by them for training purposes.

Pawsport accesses your location only during active activity tracking (walks, runs, and pack walks) and when you are actively browsing nearby businesses or events.

We do not track your location in the background. Location data from activity sessions is stored to display your route history and calculate distances. You can delete individual activity records and their associated location data at any time.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services to you. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

You can export all of your data (including dog profiles, health records, activity history, and posts) at any time using the Data Export feature in the app. Upon account deletion, all personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Pawsport is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

Users between 13 and 18 years of age should have a parent or guardian review and agree to this Privacy Policy before using Pawsport.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure authentication, and access controls on our database and infrastructure.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to promptly addressing any breaches.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you
• The right to request deletion of your personal information
• The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell your data)
